Everything for a soul-warming Dhansak — soak, cook, serve. Turmeric-forward and as easy as 2-minute noodles.
- 1 Rinse the Pigeon Peas Split (37.5 g, from the pack) under cold water until it runs clear.
- 2 Soaking time for this pulse is not recorded yet — cook it the way you would at home until it is.
- 3 Add 365 ml water.
- 4 Cook for 15 minutes until soft.
- 5 Stir in the whole Dhansak pouch (12 g) and simmer so the spices open up.
- 6 Serve. This makes about 450 g, enough for 2 people.
